Congratulations to all those children involved at the National Preparatory Athletics which was once again held at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. As always this was a great event and a brilliant opportunity for our children to run at a Nationally recognised stadium.

A special mention must however go to Izzy Thompson who won the U12 100m and 200m races coming through two lots of heats. In the heats of the 200m she also managed to break an eighteen year long championship record running it in 28.09. Despite the overwhelming excitement of her achievements, Izzy was given very little time to recover between races.

Later in the day Izzy also ran with her 4 x 100m team mates, Teyah Farmer, Ava Thornley and Tabitha Haynes. Everyone in the RGS The Grange camp was hopeful they could perform to their potential which we had seen in the previous round. An excellent heat saw them placed 2nd overall for the final. This only seemed to spur the team on who then ran a 57.29 in the final to put them in a very convincing first place!

The four T's can be extremely proud of their achievements. A great green day!
