Match Report
RGS The Grange Worcester Girls-U11A vs  Cheltenham College Preparatory School
On: Wednesday, 09 May 2018
Venue: at Home

After a disappointing first batting innings, where the girls only scored 2.5 rounders and were all out after only 25 balls, they came back fighting to field well and only allow Cheltenham to score 4.5 rounders. Half time allowed for some serious discussion about what 'not risking it' means and the girls began their second batting innings so cautiously that they didn't score anything on their first ball! A quick reminder from Miss Willis that we still needed to score some rounders ensued and suddenly the girls were 'on fire' scoring numerous halves and whole rounders! They even took some no balls, which gave us some extra opportunities! With 8.5 rounders to add to our 2.5 we were now leading and knew that if we fielded tightly we could take the win. The girls fielded brilliantly and stayed extremely calm throughout, going for many 'double whammy's' and getting Cheltenham all out for 26 balls. Their calmness, decision making and team work was second to none today and they thoroughly deserved the win against a strong side. Well done, Girls! Keep up the hard work! Miss Willis
