Match Report
RGS The Grange Worcester Girls-U10B vs  Abberley Hall School
On: Wednesday, 07 Mar 2018
Venue: at Home

The girls excitedly prepared for their match this afternoon. They were a versatile team which each of the girls able to play in a variety of different positions. Abberley were eager to do well, having had some tough matches over the past few weeks. Our girls passed the ball well, but Abberley's Centre was excellent and kept getting away from us; as a result Abberley scored in the first quarter. However, our girls were undeterred and worked hard to mark tightly and create space and movement across the court. Unfortunately Abberley just managed to pull ahead and so at half time the score was 0-2. Our girls were determined and spent the second half with the majority of possession, moving the ball well. There were several shots on goal from Caitlin, Lucy and Emily, but we just could not quite get the ball in the hoop. The girls made a fantastic last push in the final quarter and, despite a nasty fall, Emily managed to score two goals in quick succession. This brought the final score to 2-2. Emily won a well-earned player of the match, but Mrs Hobson was really impressed by all of the girls, particularly Leonor who was outstanding when playing in Centre. An excellent effort girls, and a well-deserved draw, well done!
