Match Report
RGS The Grange Worcester Girls-U10A vs  King's Hawford School
On: Wednesday, 17 Jan 2018
Venue: Away

A jolly cold afternoon saw the girls make the short trip to Kings Hawford for a triangular fixture against Hallfield and Kings Hawford school. Our first match of the day was against Hallfield school and it was a close one. Both teams played well with some excellent defending and attacking. Maddison was particularly strong as Centre keeping a calm head and controlling the ball's movement up and down the court. At the end of the first half the score was 2-2 and the girls were eager to try and edge ahead. However, the second half was also nail-bitingly close and the girls were fortunate enough to score in the final few minutes of the game leaving a final score of 3-3.

The second match of the afternoon was against a feisty Kings Hawford side. Our girls moved the ball well and Mrs Hobson was particularly pleased by Macy who played superbly as Goal Defence, embracing the opportunity to play a new position for the team.

Although we played well, marking tightly and remembering to use the space we struggled to score and despite having several chances we could not keep up with the excellent Hawford shooters. The final score was 0-6, but plenty to take away and work on for our next match. Keep up the super effort girls!
