Match Report
RGS The Grange Worcester Girls-U10A vs  Moor Park Tournament U10
On: Wednesday, 18 Oct 2017
Venue: Away

Nine girls travelled to Moor Park school, near Ludlow, on Wednesday afternoon determined to build on their experiences at the Cheltenham tournament the week before. It was a round robin tournament with the girls playing six matches across the course of the afternoon. Once again it took a little while to settle into their stride, but with a few position changes the girls really started to play some excellent hockey. Mrs Hobson was particularly pleased with the girls match against a strong Kings Hawford side; it looked as though the match was going to end in a 0-0 but in the final few minutes the Hawford girls scored which meant we lost 0-1, but it was a superb performance from our whole team. Our final two matches against Lucton and Abberley gave the girls a chance to demonstrate the progress they have made so far this term. They moved the ball beautifully up the pitch with a strong team effort and made some convincing wins.

We came third overall, which is a very respectable result. The scores across the afternoon were:

RGS v Moor Park 0-0

RGS v HCJS 0-1

RGS v Packwood 3-0

RGS v Kings Hawford 0-1

RGS v Lucton 6-0

RGS v Abberley 3-0

A great afternoon of hockey girls, very well done!
