Match Report
RGS The Grange Worcester Girls-U11A vs  IAPS Hockey Regionals
On: Friday, 13 Oct 2017
Venue: Away

After a week of preparation, Friday had come, with both the girls and staff as excited as each other we made our way on the familiar trip north to Repton school.

A nervy start to the games saw us concede our only goal of the day in the opening moments against the Elms school, despite the early set back the girls showed great character and equalised within a minute with Mya Walford finding herself on the far post to score one of our many "well worked" goals.

The other games went by without much setback as we beat Kings St Albans, Bromsgrove, Yarm prep and a good performance against Kings Hawford meant we won our group and would play Fairfield in the quarter final. This would be the girls best performance of the day comfortably winning 4-0.

The semi final pitted us against a local rival in Abberley and after another strong performance we went through 3-0 .

The final against Winchester House saw 2 very tired teams battle it out for the title of regional champions, after 5 minutes of Golden Goal the teams could not be separated. Unfortunately for the girls they lost on penalty shuffles and qualify of the national finals in 2nd place at Millfield School on November the 10th.
