Match Report
RGS The Grange Worcester Girls-U8A vs  King's Hawford School
On: Tuesday, 26 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

Year Three headed up the A449 for their first ever hockey match. The girls were full of excitement and were also a little unsure of what to expect! The match was divided into thirds, so that all girls had a chance to play a competitive match on grass. The girls worked hard in the first third and tried hard to score, but unfortunately the ball just went over the back line instead of into the goal. Kings then pushed forward and managed to beat our defence and score. We were not deterred and fought back, with Lilianna making the score even just before the whistle blew. There was then a slight change around of players, giving some a chance to rest. In the second third, we managed to score first, this time it was Cleo who was in a great position and she hit the ball into the net. Again, Kings managed to even the score. After another quick change over, so that all girls had played, we continued to push hard and Liliana took the ball up the wing, where she then crossed it into the D, where Cleo gave it a push towards goal and a final flick from Eloise, made the score 3-2. Kings fought back and yet again and evened the score just before the final whistle. A great match, well done to all of you.
